Answer:

The soda needs to be changed when there is a color change.

Explanation:

In order to detect the rate of use or exhaustion of soda, the determination of the inspired carbon dioxide, CO₂ is a reliable method. The measurement is done by means of a capnograph. This is the plot of the amount of CO₂ against time. When the CO₂ reacts with the soda lime, heat and water are formed. This is also accompanied by a pH change. The pH change causes the indicator to change color from white to pink. This change in color indicates that the soda lime is nearing exhaustion. The soda lime is changes when about two-thirds of the canister changes color.

Answer:

Answers and explanations are given below

Explanation:

To detect the number of of hours soda lime has been in use or to detect the availability/exhaustion of soda lime, an indicator has to be used such that the change in color of the indicator determines the PH level of the reaction between the CO₂ and the soda lime and hence its availability.

The reaction between CO₂ and soda lime results in a change in the PH level. The presence of CO₂ in the canister changes the color of an indicator contained in soda lime from white to pink, this change in color  indicates that the the soda lime is almost exhausted.

The soda lime is no longer effective when the indicator changes from white to pink.

Soda lime is used in anesthesia, and its consumption should be monitored because if it exhausts, the patient starts to breathe in CO₂ which has grave consequences on the patient's health.

Answer:

4. "I'll wear a snug bra continuously until my breasts are soft again."

Explanation:

During pregnancy, a woman's body undergoes several changes. One such change is breast enlargement as a result of breast milk production. During this time, women should take some care that will allow their breasts to return to normal with the same appearance, softness and smoothness.

One of these precautions is related to the type of bra that should be worn. During this period, the bra should support the breasts, with wider, preferably cotton, straps that are more comfortable. This type of bra has to be worn continuously until the breasts become soft again.
