Time used for the call to Zurich: ($5-$1.25)/$0.25=15 minutes
15minutes+3minutes=18minutes
Time used for the call to London: ($7.25-$1.25)/$0.25=24 minutes
24minutes+3minutes=27minutes
Difference between the two calls:27-18=9minutes

Solve the following system of equations. What is one x-value of a solution? f(x)=x^(2)+7x-24 g(x)=-3x-40
Yuki888 [10]

One x- value of the solution is : -2 or -8

<h3>What is an equation?</h3>

An Equation is an algebraic statement that shows that two quantities are equal.

Analysis:

for one x-value of a solution, f(x) = g(x)

x^{2} + 7x -24 = -3x - 40

x^{2} +7x +3x -24 +40 = 0

x^{2} + 10x +16 = 0

x^{2} +8x +2x +16 = 0

x(x+8) +2(x+8) = 0

(x+2)(x+8) = 0

x = -2 or -8

In conclusion, the values of x are -2 or -8

Henry has a bag containing 35 letter tiles some consonants and some vowels He selects a tile without looking and then replaces i
Westkost [7]
So Henry pulled out a total of 7 tiles (3 consonant tiles and 4 vowel times). You take that 7 and divide the total number of tiles, 35 by it.

35/7

=5

This gives you 5

You then take that 5 and multiply it by the amount of consonant vowels he pulled out, which is 3.

5x3

=15

So your answer is...

D.) 15 Tiles

I hope this helped! : )

Answer:

We can factor the quadratic to obtain

x

=

−

8

,

+

6

Step-by-step explanation:

One way to solve this equation without relying on the Quadratic Formula is to factor the quadratic. Once we have the factors, we know that setting either of them equal to zero will make the whole expression zero thus satisfying the equation. ;D

which circles shown below have an area between 200 and 250 , select all apply. Someone help please ill give Brainly
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Options (1), (2) and (3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a circle = πr²

Here, r = radius of the circle

Option (1)

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

51 = 2πr

r = \frac{51}{2\pi }

r = 8.12 inches

Area of the circle = π(8.12)² = 206.98 inches²

Option (2)

Area of the given circle = πr²

                                       = π(8)²

                                       = 201.06 inches²

Option (3)

Diameter of the circle = 17 inches

Radius of the circle = \frac{17}{2}=8.5 inches

Area of the circle = π(8.5)² = 226.98 inches²

Option (4)

Radius of the circle = \frac{19}{2}

                                = 9.5 inches

Area of the circle = π(9.5)² = 283.53 inches²

Option (5)

Area of the circle = π(6)²

                             = 36π

                             = 113.10 inches²

Area of the circle given in options (1), (2) and (3) are between 200 and 250.
