Answer:

The correct answer is A

Step-by-step explanation:

Because it is an exponential function, we know it goes up by a factor of the base of the exponential for each year. Since 2 is the base of the exponential, we know it goes up by a factor of 2 (otherwise known as doubling).

The function f(x)=5x+4f(x)=5x+4 models the height of a tree, where x represents the years since the tree was planted for year 3

"<span>all real numbers between 3 and 10 inclusive" could not be the answer, because these are x-values (values of the independent variable).

"</span><span>all real numbers between 19 and 54 inclusive" is the range.  Why?  Because in year 3, f(3) = height of tree = 5(3) + 4 = 19 feet.

In year 10, f(10) = 5(10) + 4 = 54 feet. </span>

3. Factor.
sleet_krkn [62]
It seems that some the work is already here, but I'd be glad to!! So for #3 which is 9x^2+15x, we can factor out both a 3 and an x (3x) so we know that 3x * 3x =9x^2 and 3x * 5 = 15x so once we take the 3x out of the equation, we are left with 3x(3x+5) and that's as far as you can factor.
For #4, we see that the common factor is 10m because 10m * 2n = 20mn and 10m * 3 = 30m so once we take 10m out of the original, it becomes 10m(2n-3)
For #5, this one the common factor is 4xy because 4xy * 2xy=8x^2y^2 and 4xy*x= 4x^2y and 4xy*3=12xy so once we take the 4xy out of the equation, it becomes 4xy(2xy-x-3)
Hope this helps!

Simplify the fraction completely.
k0ka [10]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

40% means 40 parts out of 100. If we have made the numerator of the fraction 2, we have divided 40 by 20. To make this fraction equal to 40/100, we have to divide 100 by 20 as well, giving us 5.
