The oxygenated blood then leaves the lungs through pulmonary veins, which return it to the left heart, completing the pulmonary cycle. This blood then enters the left atrium, which pumps it through the mitral valve into the left ventricle. From the left ventricle, the blood passes through the aortic valve to the aorta.

quester [9]
The answer is A. An electrocardiogram (EEG) measures the electrical activity of the heart to see if there’s any irregularities in the heartbeat. Irregularities in your heartbeats can be caused by many things including blockages which can cause strokes and heart attacks. It’s a good idea for students or any athletes to get an EEG as part of their physicals to rule out any heart issues.

Check all of the statements that are true regarding keratinized stratified squamous epithelium.
strojnjashka [21]

Answer;

-Keratinized stratified squamous epithelium forms the epidermis of the skin.

-In keratinized stratified squamous epithelial tissue, the cells on the apical (outer) surface are dead.

Explanation;

-Stratified squamous epithelium is a type of tissue found covering and lining parts of the body. Stratified squamous epithelium may be keratinized or nonkeratinized. Non-keratinized surfaces must be kept moist by bodily secretions to prevent them from drying out.

-The cells on the surface of stratified squamous keratinized epithelium are very flat. Not only are they flat, but they are no longer alive. They have no nucleus or organelles. They are filled with a protein called keratin, which is what makes our skin waterproof.

Consider this situation: you want to reabsorb sodium ions but you do not want to increase the volume of the blood by reabsorbing
choli [55]

Answer:

Increase aldosterone and decrease ADH

Explanation:

Aldosterone causes reabsorption of sodium ions while Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) causes reabsorption of water. Aldosterone also causes water reabsorption due to increased osmotic pressure by reabsorbing sodium ions. But for water reabsorption, Aldosterone has to work along with ADH to increase permeability for water. If we increase Aldosterone and decrease ADH, the sodium ions will be reabsorbed while water cannot be reabsorbed due to decreased permeability of DCT and collecting tubules for water.
