Because two angles are the same, we know those same sides will also be the same length.

We can set them equal to each-other, and then solve for x.

x + 4 = 3x - 8

Subtract x from both sides.

4 = 2x - 8

Add 8 to both sides.

12 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 6

The length of AC is 6.

Answer:

ac=x= 6

Step-by-step explanation:

3x - 8 is equivilant to x + 4 so x = 6 because 3*6=18-8=10 and 6+4=10

I assume we are solving for x?

You need to isolate x on one side of the equation.
subtract 4x from both sides. This leaves -2x+3=-3. Because we need to isolate x we subtract 3 from both sides, leaving -2x=-6. Again we isolate x, divide both sides by -2. x=3

2x+3=4x-3
-2x+3= -3
-2x= -6
x=3
