<h2>Answer:</h2>

An important aspect needed in an empire, is the ability for the empire to maintain control of its people. Another way for an empire to gain control, is through trade. If an empire has commodities to trade that other empires need, they have leverage over the other empires which can then be used to control them.

Answer:

Ancient Empires like Rome gained power by conquering territories with their military. Their military was usually more advanced and more disciplined than the rest, allowing them to beat other competitors and empires. They consolidated power by enforcing their laws and extracting taxes from the conquered peoples. They maintained power by integrating the people into their society, whilst also letting them maintain a degree of autonomy. If they alienated the conquered people, they would have to constantly face a barrage of rebellions that would inevitably weaken them.

A. parotid gland tumor.

B. branchial cleft cyst.

C. Stensen duct stone.

D. thyroglossal duct cyst.

<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>

Mr. Johnson presents a freely movable cystic mass in the midline of the high neck region at he base the tongue. This is most likely a Thyroglossal duct cyst.

<h3><u>Explanation:</u></h3>

A thyroglossal cyst is a mass or lump of tissue formed at the base of the neck. Slowly it leads to the formation of the thyroid gland and leads to swelling. This leads to a high neck region at the bottom of the tongue. This usually occurs during birth.

It causes difficulty in breathing and swallowing of food. Infection may occur when it is untreated. Cyst formation takes place if the thyroid reached the final stage and the duct doesn't disappear. The cyst grows and causes an enlargement in the neckline.
