Answer: Each book is 1,800 grams.

Explanation:

You have an empty box which is 1,800 grams. After you put the books in, it's 9 kilograms. There are 9,000 grams in 9 kilograms, and 1,800 grams were already there before you put the books.. so just do 9,000 - 1,800 which equals 7,200. Then divide 7,200 by 4, because there are 4 books with equal mass. 7,200 divided by 4 = 1,800.

Math. ;) Hope this helps! (If I got it right ofc)

Which graph shows the solution to the inequality -x + 2 > 1
Darya [45]
-x+2 > 1
-x+2+x > 1+x .... add x to both sides
2 > 1+x
x+1 < 2
x+1-1 < 2-1 ... subtract 1 from both sides
x < 1

After solving for x, we get x < 1

To graph this, plot an open circle at 1 on the number line and shade to the left of this value. The open circle indicates that 1 is not part of the solution set.

If your teacher requires you to graph this on an xy grid, then draw a vertical line through 1 on the x axis. Make this vertical line a dashed line. Then shade the entire region to the left of this dashed line. Any point in this shaded region will have an x coordinate that is less than 1. The dashed line acts like the open circle. The dashed line tells the reader "any point on this dashed line is not part of the solution set"

Best Method using system of equations

x=4y+8
2x-8y=-3
Mkey [24]
In this case, since one equation is in the form of x=, substitution would be best for this problem. Simply plug in 4y + 8 in place of x in the second equation, solve for y, then plug that value into the first equation to find x.
