A and C are not arithmetic because they are either dividing or adding. B does not have a pattern so D is the right answer. An arithmetic sequence is a sequence that has a pattern to it.  For example, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 ARE being added by 2.

This is the formula: an = d (n - 1) + c

I hope this helps. It is really easy when you can eliminate answers ;)

Suppose that g(x) varies inversely with (x) and g(x) = 0.2 when x=0.1. What is g(x) when x=1.6?
mestny [16]
Since g(x) varies with x, therefore:
g(x) = k/x where k is a constant.

So, first we need to get k. We are given that g(x) = 0.2 when x = 0.1
Substitute with these values to get k as follows:
g(x) = k/x
0.2 = k/0.1
k = 0.2*0.1 = 0.02

Now, the equation became:
g(x) = 0.02 / x

We need to get the g(x) when x = 1.6
Therefore, we will substitute with x in the equation and calculate the corresponding g as follows:
g(x) = 0.02 / 1.6
g(x) = 0.0125

A farmer sells 8.9 kilograms of apples and pears at the farmer's market. 3 /4 of this weight is apples, and the rest is pears. H
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer: 2.225 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that:

- The total weight the farmer sold was 8.9 kilograms.

- 3/4 of this weight is apples, and the rest is pears.

Therefore, to calculate the amount of kilograms of pears   she sold at the farmer's market (which you can call x), you need to apply the following proccedure.

Thefore, you obtain the following result:

x=8.9kg-(8.9kg*\frac{3}{4})\\x=2.225kg

If each side of a regular pentagon equals 4 feet what is the perimeter
coldgirl [10]
In a regular polygon, all of the sides have the same length.

Pentagons have five sides. If one of the sides in a regular pentagon is 4 feet, then the rest will also be four feet. 5 sides that are all 4 feet long totals up to a 20-foot perimeter.
