Answer:

D)The experimental probability is greater than the theoretical probability

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

75 times a die is rolled out of 39 times it got 6

To Find :

Which statement is true?

Solution:

The theoretical probability is given by the ,

Pt=No.of favorable outcomes/Total outcomes

Here favorable is getting 6 on the die

so how many times we can get 6 =1 time

Total outcomes =6

Pt=1/6

Pt=0.1667

Now for

The experimental Probability ,

Pe=Number times that event occur /Total no of trails

Here 39 times we get 6 and total no trails are 75

Pe=39/75

Pe=0.52

Hence we can say that Pe>Pt.

Answer:

D) The experimental probability is greater than the theoretical probability.

Step-by-step explanation:

the theoretical probability says that each option (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) will be rolled an even amount of times. to work this out, divide the total number of rolls (75) by the total amount of possibilities (6)

75 ÷ 6 = 12.5

so, theoretical probability says that each number should be rolled 12.5 times. The question says that 6 was rolled 39 times.

Theoretical P(6) = \frac{12.5}{75}

Experimental P(6) = \frac{39}{75}

the experimental probability is greater than the theoretical probability

∴  the answer is D

I hope this was helpful :-)

Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

1. 5040

2. 20

Step-by-step explanation:

1. using the formula for permutation

nPr=n!/(n-r)!

10P4 = 10!/(10-4)!

=10*9*8*7*6!/6!

then we are left with

=10*9*8*7

=5040

2.using the formula for combination

nCr=n!/(n-r)!r!

6C3=6!/(6-3)!3!

=6*5*4*3!/3!3!

=6*5*4/3*2*1

=20

A small company that manufactures snowboards uses the relation below to model its profit. In the model,
amm1812

Answer:

a)   x₁ = 14

     x₂ = - 6

b) x = 4

c) P(max ) = 4000000 $

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the axis of symmetry we solve the equation

a) -4x² + 32x + 336 = 0

4x²  - 32x  - 336  = 0       or    x² - 8x - 84 = 0

x₁,₂ = [ -b ± √b² -4ac ]/2a

x₁,₂ = [ 8  ±√(64) + 336 ]/2

x₁,₂ = [ 8  ± √400 ]/2

x₁,₂ =( 8 ± 20 )/2

x₁  = 14

x₂ = -6

a) Axis of symmetry must go through the middle point between the roots

x = 4 is the axis of symmetry

c) P = -4x² + 32x + 336

Taking derivatives on both sides of the equation we get

P´(x) = - 8x + 32  ⇒  P´(x) = 0     - 8x + 32

x = 32/8

x = 4    Company has to sell  4 ( 4000 snowboard)

to get  a profit :

P = - 4*(4)² + 32*(4) + 336

P(max) = -64  + 128 + 336

P(max) = 400           or  400* 10000 =  4000000

OMG PLS HELP WITH THIS IM PANICKING OMG I GOT A F IN MATH MY MOM JUST YELLED AT ME IM CRYING PLS HELP WITH THS-
andre [41]

Answer:

4. 50,000 square miles

5. The office would round to $800,000 instead of $700,000 because they would lose that needed $35,495. If they rounded down, their budget would be cut short, and they won’t have enough money for the office.

6. Five numbers that could also be the population: 577,777; 575,555; 578,999: 578,787; 581,545.

7. 600,000

8.584,000

9. 260,000

Step-by-step explanation:

4. In this question, we’re rounding the number, “54,555” go the nearest ten thousand. When rounding numbers you look at the number next to the digit your rounding. In this case, since the second number is not 5 or higher, we round it to 50,000 as that’s closer than 60,000.

5. Like I stated above: if they round to the lowest amount, they won’t have enough money to but what they need. Therefore, even if according to rounding it needs to be lower, it will not be beneficial to the company.

6. This are all possible numbers cause they can all by round to 580,000 AND 600,000

7. Since the number next to six is not five or higher, we round it to the closest number which is 600,000.

8. Since the number next to 3 is 5, we round it to the higher number. So it’s 584,000

9. Since the number next to the underlined nunber is 6, we round it to the closest number which is 260,000
