Since the triangle is a right angle at BFC, wouldn’t that indicate it’s either 30°, 45°, or 60°? What are the values for the side dimensions?

Answer:

triangleBFCBis an isosceles triangle

angleBFC=90°

angle FBC and angle BCF are equal

let angle FBC=x,angleBCF=x

the sum of angles in a triangle=180°

90+x+x=180°

90+2x=180

2x=180-90

2x=90

divide both sides by 2

2x÷2=90÷2

x=45°

Answer

48

Explanation

The product of the secant and the extension of the chord is normally equivalent to square of the tangent.

From the diagram given,

The length of the secant = 2+6

                                          = 8

Length of the extension of the chord = 6

length of the tangent = x

∴ x² = 8 × 6

      = 48

Is it possible that for every right triangle, it has two complementary angles?
Montano1993 [528]
Yes, every right triangle has two complementary angles.

This is because you know that the interior angles of a triangle have to add up to 180 degrees.

A right angle is 90 degrees, so the remaining two angles have to add up to (180-90) degrees, or 90 degrees.

Two angles whose sum is 90 degrees are complementary.

A city skyscraper is 1,450 feet tall. A scale model is made that is 1:290 of its size. How tall is the model?
icang [17]

Answer:

Height of skyscraper's model = 5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Height of skyscraper = 1,450 feet

Scale model ratio = 1:290

Find:

Height of skyscraper's model.

Computation:

Height of skyscraper's model = Height of skyscraper × Scale model ratio

Height of skyscraper's model = 1,450 × (1/290)

Height of skyscraper's model = 5 feet
