In 1967, the Northern government attempted to build a Sudanese nation state on a cornerstone of Northern Arab Muslim identity, deliberately ignoring the religious and ethnic diversity of Sudan and led the country into civil war.
They opposed to the fifteenth amendment because they wanted women to be included with african - american men. It led to the woman's rights act and they wanted to focus more on women and how they should be treated as fairly as men.
The Greensboro Sit-In was a critical turning point in black history and American history, bringing the fight for civil rights to the national stage. Its use of nonviolence inspired the Freedom Riders and others to take up the cause of integration in the South, furthering the cause of equal rights in the United States.
