This is the exact answer:

Turgor pressure is the pressure exerted on the cell wall of a plant. It is caused by the movement of water into the cell. When a plant cell stores substances like ions or sugars, the amount of substances inside and outside the cell are no longer equal. There are more substances inside the cell. This causes water to rush into the cell, increasing the pressure on the cell wall. The cell swells up, helping the plant to stand upright.

Pressure exerted by fluid in a cell that presses the cell membrane against the cell wall. Turgor is what makes living plant tissue rigid. Loss of turgor, resulting from the loss of water from plant cells, causes flowers and leaves to wilt.

What was Friedrich Miescher's contribution to the discovery of the genetic code? He created the first photograph of the structur
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

He extracted and observed DNA from white blood cells.

Explanation:

Friedrich Miescher, who is a Swedish Botanist, is the scientist who isolated for the first time. In 1869, Miescher isolated a chemical he called NUCLEIN, which is called Nucleic acid now.

He discovered this so called "NUCLEIN" substance from the nuclei of white blood cells. Nucleic acids are the DNA and RNA we know today, hence, Miescher's discovery was significant to the genetic code as he even agitated for the inclusion of his discovery into inheritance.
