Answer:

There will be two groups in this study, one group will comprise of students who have participated in collegiate study-abroad program while the other group will consist of students who have not participated in it and this group will be the control group. Data will be collected from both groups. This is an example of independent groups quasi experimental design.

In the within groups quasi experimental design, there is only one group and this group comprises of the people of who are chosen for the study abroad program. This group will be measured on the basis of  the acceptance of other cultures before the start of the program and also, after the completion of the program the group will measured again on the same variables and statistical analysis will be carried out.

Explanation:

A quasi-experiment is a form of  empirical interventional study used to determine the causal impact of an intervention on target population without any form of random assignment. Quasi-experimental research have some similarities with the traditional experimental design or randomized controlled trial, but basically it lacks the element of random assignment to treatment or control. Quasi-experimental designs specifically allow the researcher to control the assignment to the treatment condition, but using some other criteria aside random assignment.

Example of within- groups quasi- experimental design: In this experimental design, there is only one group and this group comprises of the people of who are chosen for the study abroad program. This group will be measured on the basis of  the acceptance of other cultures before the start of the program and also, after the completion of the program the group will measured again on the same variables and statistical analysis will be carried out.
