Answer: For the first part, her total savings would be $88, and for the second part, (let's pretend s = the total savings) the equation would be s = 40 + w x 6.

Step-by-step explanation: As for the first part, we would need to multiply her money per week times the amount of weeks she works. We can do this by simply multiplying the amount she makes (6) by the amount of weeks she works (8), resulting in 48, but we still have to add that number to the amount she already has, or 40, making $88 in total, as for the second part, this does a great job of explaining the reasoning behind that as well. Hope this answered your question!

A satellite is circling 112 miles above the earth, when the satellite is directly above point b, angle a is found to be 76.6°. u
Nata [24]
From the diagram we see there is a 90 degree angle, also the radius from a point B to the center of the circle is the same as the radius from the center of the circle to the right angle.
Let the radius be r.
sin a=opposite/adjacent
sin 76.6=r/(r+112)
0.973(r+112)=r
0.973r+108.976=r
r-0.973r=108.976
0.027r=108.976
r=108.976/0.027
r=4036.15 miles
the radius of earth will r=4036.15 miles

Determine if the side lengths 9, 9, and 17 form a triangle. If it is a triangle, classify it by its sides. It's not a triangle.
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

To find that a triangle can be made from these measurements you should know that the sum of two of its sides should be greater than the third side.

lets see if this rule applies...

9+9 = 18 ( greater that 17 ; its third side)

17 + 9 = 26 (greater than 9 ; its third side)

therefore, a triangle can be formed

as two of its sides are equal , it is an isosceles triangle

(HELP ASAP PLEASE AND THANK YOU..)
Zigmanuir [339]
Hello!

As you can see, two of the triangles that we see that are made from the lengths we are given make up one face of the pyramid. We can use the triangle formula without multiplying by 1/2 to find the length of one face.

30(45)=1350

Now we multiply this by  four to find all of the sides.

1350(4)=5400

We find the area of the square base

30(30)=900

Finally, we add up our lengths.

5400+900=6300

Therefore, our answer is C) 6400 yards²

I hope this helps!
