Delaware was originally a combination of New Netherland and New Sweden. In 1686, the Dominion of New England was formed with the combination of Connecticut, Massachussets, Bay colony, Plymouth, Rhode island, New York, New Hampshire, East Jersey and West Jersey colonies.
