What does it mean to be a woman in Gilead?
wariber [46]

Answer:

A mean to be a woman in Gilead is explained below in detail.

Explanation:

We break down the functions of women in Gilead, as the government attempts to redefine them. These women were picked to serve the purpose of a hand maid because they were able to bear children and observed to have been adulterers in their former experiences. “These are women who were understood by Gilead to have died or disgraced themselves in some form,”

Select the correct answer.
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

The correct answer is option B.  Old, sickly people and young laborers are useless to the nation because they cannot be productive citizens.

Explanation:

In this excerpt we can see how the author addresses the issue of how old and sick people cannot get a job and not only that, they starve and die of cold.

The author also ironically remarks how young workers "are now in almost as hopeful a condition." and talks about how they can't get a job either.

Exactly the use of this irony is what is considered as "satirical tone".

Given this information we can say that the correct answer is option B.

PLEASE HELP WITH NUMBER TWO AND THREE ILL MARK BRANLIEST
masha68 [24]
I think I can give maybe some guidance on number two but you’ll have to write it yourself and answer number three yourself. So when they say tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth I believe what they want is simply the truth, the whole truth which means no leaving out details tell EVERYTHING, and nothing but the truth means to just not lie. I really hope this helped even a little bit!

You’re Spanish; aren’t you? Identify the errors and rewrite the sentence.

You're Spanish, aren't you?  i think that would be correct because a semicolon is for when there are 2 complete ideas in a sentence.
