X means everything in algebra. It is a variable, which means that its meaning changes based on context. For example, x could be time, but it could also be cars. x is what all Mathematicians chase after and it is also the greatest tool at their disposal. x is generally called an independent variable because its value determines the output of a function. y, on the other hand, is the result of fooling around with x. It's a dependent variable, which means that y changes when x changes.

Take, for instance, the following function:
y = x + 3

Let's set x = 3.
y = (3) + 3
y = 6

As you can see, what we input as x determines what y outputs.

pav-90 [236]

8 is a<u> Natural number, </u><u>Whole number, Integer and Real number</u>

<h3>What is an integer?</h3>

An integer is a number that cannot be expressed as fraction. They are known as whole numbers.

For natural numbers, they are value that starts from 1 and above. Since 8 is greater than 1, hence it is a natural number.

Real number includes both fractions and whole numbers, hence 8 is also a real number.

Based on the explanation, we can conclude that 8 is a<u> Natural number, </u><u>Whole number, Integer and Real number</u>

sammy [17]

Answer:

for page 1, the answer is  y = x + 1

for page 2, the answer is linear

Step-by-step explanation:

Why is it y = x + 1?

It is y = x + 1 because if you look at the steps, all of them are reasonable for having a multiplication equation. Step 1 has a equation of 1 x 1, step 2 has an equation of 2 x 2, and  step 3 has an equation of 3 x 3. So the relationship would be adding +1 to every step and count up from 1 - 3.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is it linear?

It's linear cause the relationship between x and y is called a linear relationship because the points so plotted all lie on a single straight line.
