C=$\frac{5}{9}$(18)
C= 10
50 degrees fahrenheit is equal to 10 degrees celsius 

B) you must solve the equation for F

C= $\frac{5}{9}$(F-32)
C/$\frac{5}{9}$=F-32
C/$\frac{5}{9}$+32=F
F= C/$\frac{5}{9}$+32

dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying buy its reciprocal so it can also be written as

F=$\frac{9}{5}$C +32

now you just plug in 50 for the variable C in the new equation

F= $\frac{9}{5}$(50) +32
F= 90 + 32
F= 122

50 degrees celsius is equal to 122 degrees fahrenheit
