A) you must plug in 50 for variable F and solve for C

C=\frac{5}{9}(50-32)
C=\frac{5}{9}(18)
C= 10
50 degrees fahrenheit is equal to 10 degrees celsius

B) you must solve the equation for F

C= \frac{5}{9}(F-32)
C/\frac{5}{9}=F-32
C/\frac{5}{9}+32=F
F= C/\frac{5}{9}+32

dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying buy its reciprocal so it can also be written as

F=\frac{9}{5}C +32

now you just plug in 50 for the variable C in the new equation

F= \frac{9}{5}(50) +32
F= 90 + 32
F= 122

50 degrees celsius is equal to 122 degrees fahrenheit

hope this helped!

Solve each equation by factoring x^2+4x+4=0
makkiz [27]

Answer: x = -2

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Find 2 numbers whose product is the c-value of 4 and their sum is the b-value of 4.

x² + 4x + 4 = 0

              ∧

           1 + 4 = 5

           2 + 2 = 4  <em>this works!</em>   <em>so the factors are: </em>

(x + 2)(x + 2) = 0

x + 2 = 0      and      x + 2 = 0

     x = -2      and             x = -2  --> <em>same answer so only need to list it once</em>

FInd the equation of the line
enot [183]

Answer:

y=-3/2x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope is rise over run. It rises 3 and goes back -2 so the slope is -3/2 and it crosses the y-axis at 3 so the y-intercept is 3. The slope equation is y=mx+b.

Slope, Y intercepts, linear equations, ect
Rudiy27
To graph an equation with one x variable you first go on the y (vertical axis) and put a point at the number that doesnt have the x (12). Sometimes this number could be zero. The +12 is where it crosses the y axis. next to make the line you look at the number infront of x (1). that is the slope. It is basically 1 over 1. this means you go up one and right one, up one and right one, or down one and left one etc. this will make a line. If the number infront of x was -2 then it is seen as -2 over one. this slope is drawn by going down one and right one or up two and left one
