There are various hypotheses as to the origin of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Because all cells are similar in nature, it i

s thought that all cells came from a common ancestor cell called the last universal common ancestor or LUCA. The LUCAs evolved into three different cell types, each representing a domain in the modern system of classification. The three domains are the Archaea, the Bacteria, and the Eukarya. We know that all three domains are cellular in nature, but they have one other feature in common. And this second common feature helped provide the biochemical evidence to support this newest step in classification. Cite the evidence utilized in this classification scheme.

One of the two major systems that are affected by the stress response is the ____________, which results in increased production
Marizza181 [45]
The two major systems involved in the stress response are the Nervous System [the Sympathetic subdivision of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)] and the Endocrine System (glands which secrete hormones intonthe bloodstream).
The Endocrine System's response during acute and/or chronic stress (adaptation) involves first the Hypothalamic release of Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone (CRH), which stimulates the Anterior Pituitary (via the blood) to release AdrenoCorticoTropic Hormone (ACTH), which then activates the Adrenal Cortex to release glucocorticoid hormones (i.e. Cortisol), amongst others into the bloodstream. Cortisol then has many effects on tissues and organs throughout the body to allow better generalized coping with the initial stress stimulus.
