Answer:

Total time for both miles  16.23 minutes .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: On tuesday katy ran a mile in 8.34 minutes. she ran another mile in 7.89 minutes on wendsday.

To find: What was the total time for both miles .

Solution: We have given that

Katy ran a mile on Tuesday = 8.34 minutes .

She ran another mile on Wednesday 7.89 minutes .

Total time for both miles =  8.34 minutes +   7.89 minutes  =  16.23 minutes .

Therefore , total time for both miles  16.23 minutes .

What values of a and b make the equation true? StartRoot 648 EndRoot = StartRoot 2 Superscript a Baseline times 3 Superscript b
kramer

Option C: a=3, b=4 is the value of a and b

Explanation:

Given that the expression \sqrt{648}=\sqrt{2^a\times3^b}

We need to determine the value of a and b

Let us consider the term \sqrt{648} and take the prime factorization of the term 648

Thus, we have,

648 divides by 2,

648=2 \cdot 324

324 divides by 2,

648=2 \cdot 2 \cdot 162

162 divides by 2,

648=2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2 \cdot 81

81 divides by 3,

648=2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2 \cdot 3 \cdot 27

27 divides by 3,

648=2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2 \cdot 3 \cdot 3 \cdot 9

9 divides by 3,

648=2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2 \cdot 3 \cdot 3 \cdot 3 \cdot 3

Thus, we have,

\sqrt{648}=\sqrt{2^{3} \cdot 3^{4}}

Therefore, equating the powers of 2 and 3, we get,

a=3, b=4

Hence, the value of a and b is 3 and 4

Thus, Option C is the correct answer.

Last week’s shipment of plates contained 2 broken plates out of 150. How many could be expected to be broken in next week’s ship
IgorLugansk [536]
3 probably. If 2 plates break out of 150 then you know that dividing 150 with 2 you get 75 and that means that 75 = 1 broken plates and which means that the next weak will be 1 broken plate. 150+75=225.

I'm not 100% on this, but something like 90%
SSS stands for Side, Side, Side. This means if you have 2 triangles with equal sides, it would be this.
SAS stands for Side, Angle, Side. This means we know 2 sides are equal, as well as the provided angle. This wouldn't apply, because there IS no provided angle, you only have sides.
ASA stands for Angle, Side, Angle. This would mean that 2 angles are identical (of course, by 2, i mean 1 for each triangle, same applies for SAS) and one provided Side is identical. We, of course, don't know what the sides or the angles are in this case (this part always gets me)
We can eliminate A right off the bat, because it says QRP is equal to TRS, which isn't right. QRP is only equal to SRT, because the order actually DOES matter. We can go ahead and eliminate D as well. Since we have no provided sides or angles (of course we can eyeball it and see that are equal, but your not supposed to really do that) we can assume it is most likely B over C.
Your best answer provided would be QRP=SRT by SSS, or in other words, B
~Hope this helps, would appreciate brainliest!
