\bf \displaystyle \cfrac{d}{dx}\left[ \int\limits_{\sqrt{x}}^{\frac{\pi }{2}}~[cos(t^2)]dt \right]\implies \cfrac{d}{dx}\left[ -\int\limits_{\frac{\pi }{2}}^{\sqrt{x}}~[cos(t^2)]dt \right]\\\\\\ \cfrac{d}{dx}\left[ -\int\limits_{\frac{\pi }{2}}^{x^{\frac{1}{2}}}~[cos(t^2)]dt \right]\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
u=x^{\frac{1}{2}}\implies \cfrac{du}{dx}=\cfrac{1}{2\sqrt{x}}\\\\\\ \textit{and now, let's use the \underline{2nd fundamental theorem of calculus}}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\bf \displaystyle \cfrac{d}{dx}\left[ -\int\limits_{\frac{\pi }{2}}^{u}~[cos(t^2)]dt \right]\impliedby \cfrac{df}{dx}=\cfrac{df}{du}\cdot \cfrac{du}{dx}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{df}{dx}=-cos(u^2)\cdot \cfrac{du}{dx}\implies \cfrac{df}{dx}=-cos(u^2)\cdot \cfrac{1}{2\sqrt{x}}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{df}{dx}=-cos[(\sqrt{x})^2]\cdot \cfrac{1}{2\sqrt{x}}\implies \cfrac{df}{dx}=-\cfrac{cos(x)}{2\sqrt{x}}

We’ll call shape 1 the bigger, top triangle, and shape 2 the smaller, bottom triangle.

Formula for area of a triangle is 1/2(base)(height)

For shape 1, the base is 5 and the height is 6.
1/2(5)(6) = 1/2(30) = 15

Shape 2, the base is 4 and the height is 3.
1/2(3)(4) = 1/2(12) = 6

Shape 1 + shape 2 = 15 + 6 = 21.

The units are square feet, because it’s area.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

What are the graphs of y=sinx and y=cosx in the interval from -2 pi to 2 pi?
g100num [7]
I used Excel to create the tables and the graphs.

I attached both the tables and the graphs.

You should replace the numbers of the x-axis (in both graphs) by the numbers as a fraction of pi. Those numbers are also included in the table, so you should not have problems with that.

What is the equation of the line parallel to the given line with an x-intercept of 4? y = x +
Nady [450]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of the line parallel to

y = x

has a slope of m = 1

This means that the family of lines with the same slope are of the form

y = x - (a)

where  -a  represents the y intercept, and (a) the x- intercept

With a = 4, the equation intercepts the x axis at x = 4

Please see attached graph
