Answer: 0.0228

Work:
This must be done using a graphing calculator. For this answer, I will be using terms from the TI-84 graphing calculator.
You start by navigating on the calculator to the statistics section in which you will be able to find the normalcdf function. The functions asks you for the mean, which is 750, the standard deviation, which is 50, and the upper and lower bounds of the probability. Since the question asks for the probability that scores higher than 850, 850 will be the lower bound and 1E99 will be the upper bound. 1E99 is essentially infinity, so this will give you the most accurate answer possible. Once you plug these values into the calculator, you let the machine do the rest of the work. The calculator will output the value 0.0228. This is your answer.

Quadrilateral PQRS is dilated by a scale factor of 1/2 with point R as the center of dilation, resulting in the image P'Q'R'S'.
Pachacha [2.7K]

The statement that is true about line segment P'S' is (c) Segment P'S' s 4 units long and lies on a different segment

How to determine the true statement?

The complete question is in the attached image

From the image, we have:

PS = 8 units

This means that:

P'S' = 1/2 * PS

So, we have:

P'S' = 1/2 * 8

Evaluate

P'S' = 4

Also, the segment PS and P'S' do not lie on the same segment

Hence, the true statement is (c)

Find the area of the figure below
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

The total area is 300 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the area of the rectangle

A = l*w = 24*10 = 240

Then find the area of the triangle on the top

A = 1/2 bh

The base is 24 and the height is 15-10 = 5

A = 1/2 (24)*5 = 60

Add them together

240+60 = 300

The total area is 300 ft^2
