Einstein theories were quite fascinating and revealed some concepts which have changed the way science was studied. For example the theory of relativity explained the behavior of an object in space and time (concept of four dimensional). His theory of relativity introduced the “absolute”  frame of reference according to which whenever some quantity is measured be it velocity, momentum etc. it is in reference to some thing.  

This absolute reference do not apply to the speed of light and also nothing is faster than the speed of light. Like wise his theories changed the perception of scientist/scholars  with respect to the existing scientific theories as well as the future theories to be discovered.
