first you want to get the -2y alone so you move the 3x. since it's adding now the opposite of addition is subtraction. now your left with -2y= -3x. since your trying to solve for y now you divide -2 on both sides and your gonna be left with y= -3x/-2. since their both negatives it turns to postive. that's why the answer would be y= 3x/2.
