Well there is 16 ounces in a pound and there is 7 pounds so 120 divided by 16 is 7.5 so 120 ounces is more than 7 pounds.

The tables represent two linear functions in a system,
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

<h2>(8, -22)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of an equation of a line:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

First table:

(-4, 26), (0, 10) → b = 10

m=\dfrac{10-26}{0-(-4)}=\dfrac{-16}{4}=-4

\boxed{y=-4x+10}

Second table:

(-4, 14), (0, 2) → b = 2

m=\dfrac{2-14}{0-(-4)}=\dfrac{-12}{4}=-3

\boxed{y=-3x+2}

We have the system of equations:

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}y=-4x+10&(1)\\y=-3x+2&(2)\end{array}\right\\\\\text{Put (1) to (2):}\\\\-4x+10=-3x+2\qquad\text{subtract 10 from both sides}\\-4x=-3x-8\qquad\text{add 3x to both sides}\\-x=-8\qquad\text{change the signs}\\x=8\\\\\text{Put the value of x to (2):}\\\\y=-3(8)+2\\y=-24+2\\y=-22

Solve the following system by graphing x + y - 6= 0 x- y = 0
DochEvi [55]

Answer:

(3,3)

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y - 6= 0

x- y = 0

Add the two equations together

x + y - 6= 0

x- y = 0

-------------------

2x - 6 = 0

Add 6 to each side

2x-6+6 = 0

2x = 6

Divide by 2

2x/2 = 6/2

x = 3

Now find y

x-y = 0

3 - y = 0

y = 3

3(2x-1)=5x+3+7x I do t get this cause I’m stupid
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for x:

3 (2 x - 1) = 7 x + 5 x + 3

Grouping like terms, 7 x + 5 x + 3 = (5 x + 7 x) + 3:

3 (2 x - 1) = (5 x + 7 x) + 3

5 x + 7 x = 12 x:

3 (2 x - 1) = 12 x + 3

Expand out terms of the left hand side:

6 x - 3 = 12 x + 3

Subtract 12 x from both sides:

(6 x - 12 x) - 3 = (12 x - 12 x) + 3

6 x - 12 x = -6 x:

-6 x - 3 = (12 x - 12 x) + 3

12 x - 12 x = 0:

-6 x - 3 = 3

Add 3 to both sides:

(3 - 3) - 6 x = 3 + 3

3 - 3 = 0:

-6 x = 3 + 3

3 + 3 = 6:

-6 x = 6

Divide both sides of -6 x = 6 by -6:

(-6 x)/(-6) = 6/(-6)

(-6)/(-6) = 1:

x = 6/(-6)

The gcd of 6 and -6 is 6, so 6/(-6) = (6×1)/(6 (-1)) = 6/6×1/(-1) = 1/(-1):

x = 1/(-1)

1/(-1) = -1:

Answer: x = -1
