Different animals have different adaptations due to their habitat, which help them survive. For example, the camel located in deserts have 2 humps where fat is stored which can be metabolised for energy.

If an animal cell has excess energy, what is most likely to happen to this energy?
Len [333]
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the last option. If an animal cell has excess energy, most likely it  will be stored as fat molecules. <span>Anabolic process  is done to synthesize Triglycerides (Fat) to store for a rainy day. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.</span>

A process that separated the inner planets' composition into different chemical layers is called _____.
dangina [55]

The correct answer is differentiation.

Planetary differentiation can be defined as a process in which separation of different constituents of the planetary body takes place.They are separated based on their physical or chemical behavior, where the body divides into different layers: the less denser materials rise up to the surface and the more denser substance of the planet sinks.

Example: dwarf planets.

There are 3 possible genotypes: NN, MN, or MM. In a group of 500 people, the frequency of genotype NN is 40%. How many individua
Readme [11.4K]

235 are the Individual numbers that would expect to have the MN type of genotype.

There are two equations necessary according to Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium:-

<em>p</em> + q = 1

p² + 2pq + q² = 1

Let,

NN= p

NM=2pq

MM=q

So, according to the question, the frequency of genotype NN is 40%

40% of 500 = \frac{500*40}{100} = 200 Numbers of individuals

Frequency of individuals <em>p </em>= \frac{Numbers of individuals}{Total populations} = \frac{200}{400} = 0.4

Find <em>p</em>² by taking the square root of <em>p</em>.

√(<em>p</em>) = √(0.4)

= 0.632

So, <em>pp + qq = 1  </em>

<em>qq</em> = 1 - <em>pp </em>=  1 - 0.63

q = 0.37

The allele frequencies in the population are known, now finding the frequency of heterozygous genotype.

By Multiplying<em> 2 × p ×q  </em>to get heterozygous genotype

<em>2pq =  2 × 0.63 × 0.37` = 0.47</em>

<em>2pq = 0.47</em>

<em>So, 2pq × total population = 0.47 × 500 = 235, NM genotype.</em>

In the 1970s public opinion favored cleaning up the environment. Since the 1980s, some members of Congress and industry leaders
seraphim [82]

Answer:

 The congress leaders are working in the best interests of the environment.

Explanation:

<u>Contributions of the Congress leaders to the environment in 1970s-1980s .</u>

Spurred by the mass mobilization, within five years Congress had created some of the most consequential environmental legislation to date: the establishment of Environmental Protection Agency (1970), the Clean Air Act (1970), the Clean Water Act (1972), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (1972), and the Safe Drinking .

Before 1970, there were so many individuals and corporations in the United States who agreed with the mayor that the unavoidable price of change was pollution. However, Congress indicated its strong conviction in the 1970 amendments that economic prosperity and a safe environment are not mutually exclusive priorities.

Hence,  the congress leaders worked are still struggling and working in the best interests of the environment .
