Answer: the dimensions of the triangle are 29 feet, 58 feet and 59 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the length of the shortest side.

Let y represent the length of the medium side.

Let z represent the length of the longest side(third).

One side twice the length of the shortest side. It means that

y = 2x

The third side is 30 feet more than the length of the shortest side.. This means that

z = x + 30

if the triangle's perimeter is 146 feet units, it means that

x + y + z = 146- - - - - - -- - - - -1

Substituting z = x + 30 and y = 2x into equation 1, it becomes

x + 2x + x + 30 = 146

4x = 146 - 30

4x = 116

x = 116/4

x = 29 feet

y = 2x = 2 × 29

y = 58 feet

z = x + 30 = 29 + 30

z = 59

Solve the equation 2.7 + x = 17
olga55 [171]
Hello!

To solve this equation, we need to isolate the variable on one side of the equation to see what it equals.

As you can see, 2.7 is added. To get it onto the other side and cancel it from the one side, you will subtract it from both sides as shown below. Note that because of the commutative property, we can switch the places of 2.7 and x.

x+2.7-2.7=17-2.7  (Note that 2.7=2.7 is 0 in this equation.
x=14.3

Our solution is x=14.3

I hope this helped you learn how to solve equations a bit better!

The manager of a vacation resort believes that the ages of adult visitors to the resort can be modeled by a normal distribution.
8090 [49]

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) A histogram is like a bar graph, but with ranges instead of values.

(b) The distribution is approximately uniform, with slightly more people at the younger and older ends than in the middle.

(c) The ages do not appear to come from a normal distribution.  Normal distributions are bell-shaped, tall in the middle and short on the sides.
