A slice of a right rectangular pyramid parallel to its basesince parallel to the base it should have the same figure to the base which is rectangle.
a slice of a right square pyramid perpendicular to its base but not through its top vortex. since not to the vortex, it will form a trapezoid

If the population of a state was 4702644 how many representatives should that state have
WARRIOR [948]
There is not an exact way to answer that question. The number of representatives each state has is determined by the population. However, the total number of house representatives has been capped at 435 since 1913. Currently, the ratio of constituents to representatives is 700,000 to 1. So if you divide the total population by 700,000 you will have an approximation of the number of representatives.

*PLEASE HELP ME* (math attachment) IT'S PAST MIDNIGHT I'M TIRED AND DESPERATE
Luda [366]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

let's rewrite this

x + y = 11                  - equation 1

   - x = - y - 9           - equation 2

solve the first equation for x

x + y = 11            (add -y to both sides to get x by itself)

     x = -y + 11           - equation 3

now substitute -y + 11 for x in the second equation

y - 11 = - y - 9        (2 negative signs next to each other equals positive)

2y - 11 = -9              (add y to both sides)

      2y = 2               (add 11 to both sides)

        y = 1                (divide both sides by 2)

now substitute y = 1 into equation 3

x = -1 + 11

x = 10

therefore, x = 10 and y = 1. in coordinates, x goes before y

therefore, the coordinates are (10, 1)

therefore the answer is D

good luck my friend! hope this helped a lot! also, i found a website if you don't fully understand this, its called MathPapa, i didn't use it to work this out so my working might be different but it definitely helps me sometimes. for an equation like this, type it likes this: x+y=11; -x=-y-9

Factor the trinomal below below x^2 + 5x - 24
tamaranim1 [39]

Step-by-step explanation:

When I began factoring, I used the AC method (from the form Ax^2+Bx+C).

First, I multiplied the A and C terms, so you would multiply the 1 and -24 to get -24.

Now you need to find factors that multiply to get -24 and see if the sum of any of the pairs gets B, the middle term, 5.

These factor pairs include: 1, -24; 2, -12; 3, -8; 4, -6; 6, -4; 8, -3; 12, -2; 24, -1.

The sums of the pairs are as follows: -23, -10, -5, -2, 2, 5, 10, 23.

Since the 8, -3 pair multiplies to get -24, and adds up to 5, your factors are (x+8)(x-3).

Just to be safe multiply it out to check your work.
