Yes you can use that 1 equation.. P1V1/(n1T1) = P2V2/(n2T2) for ALL of your two state ideal gas law type problems. Use it in place of boyles, charles, avogadros, combined, etc laws...just like I showed you above
(1).. write down P1V1/(n1T1) = P2V2/(n2T2)
(2).. rearrange for your desired unknown
(3).. determine what is constant and what varies.. cancel the constants
(4).. plug and chug.. don't forget Temperature must be on an absolute scale.. R or K.. never °F nor °C

INFORMATION:

We have the following statements

And we must complete them

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:

To complete the statements, we need to classify matter according to its state:

- Solid:

there is not enough thermal energy to overcome the intermolecular interactions between the particles. As a result, solids have a definite shape and volume.

- Liquid:

That describes the liquid state. In a liquid, the particles are still in close contact, so liquids have a definite volume. However, because the particles can move about each other rather freely, a liquid has no definite shape and takes a shape dictated by its container.

- Gas:

That describes the gas state, which we will consider in more detail elsewhere. Like liquids, gases have no definite shape, but unlike solids and liquids, gases have no definite volume either.

Finally, we know that:

- A solid has a definite volume and has a definite shape

- A liquid has a definite volume and has not a definite shape

- A gas has not a definite volume and has not a definite shape

ANSWER:

- A solid has a definite volume and has a definite shape

- A liquid has a definite volume and has not a definite shape

- A gas has not a definite volume and has not a definite shape

How many atoms of gold are in gold nugget with a mass of 4.25 g
Feliz [49]
Number of Atoms in Gold for given mass can be calculated using following formula,

              # of Moles  =  Number of Atoms / 6.022 × 10²³
Or,
             Number of Atoms  =  Moles × 6.022 × 10²³     ------- (1)

Calculating Moles,
As,
                              Moles  =  Mass / M.mass
So,
                              Moles  =  4.25 g / 196.96 g/mol

                              Moles  =  0.0215

Putting value of mole in eq.1,

             Number of Atoms  =  0.0215 × 6.022 × 10²³

             Number of Atoms  =  1.299 × 10²²

Result:
            4.25 g
of Gold Nugget contains 1.299 × 10²² Atoms.

4.50 g of NaCl reacts with 10.00 g of AgNO3 to produce 7.93 g of AgCl. If the theoretical amount of AgCl that can be formed is 8
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer: 94.07%

Explanation:

Percentage yield can be calculated by the formula

%yield = Experimental yield/Theoretical yield x100

Experimental yield = 7.93g

Theoretical yield = 8.43

%yield = Experimental yield/Theoretical yield x100

%yield = 7.93/8.43 x 100 = 94.07%

Given the law of conservation of energy, what happens when a 200°C iron bar is placed in thermal contact with a 30°C block of wo
kozerog [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is A Energy leaves the iron bar and enters the wood until the temperature are equal.

Explanation:

According to the law of conservation of energy or the first law thermodynamics energy neither be created nor destroyed, energy is transferred from one form to another form.

        Here iron bar is placed in wood block energy is transferred from iron bar to wood until the temperatures are equal.
