Why is it important for the insurance specialist to be knowledgeable in multiple areas including medical terminology, anatomy &a

mp; physiology, and ICD-10 coding? Why is knowledge of these areas so important in this career?

Because the insurance is all based on codes, so the bill can be charged adequately, the codes are for charges. The anatomy and physiology part, is when you have to do a peer to peer with a physician, you want to know where they are talking about to approve the charges.
