The given inequalities are

x+2y≤4, 3x-y>2

To plot the graph first convert it into slope intercept form in two coordinate system i.e To convert equation of the type Ax + By= C in Slope intercept form

x/C÷A + y/C÷B =1

So,the equation becomes

x/4 + y/2≤ 1,

x/2÷3 + y/-2>1,

We have to also consider x>0 and y>0.

Now The shaded area in green is shown in the graph.

x=8/7 and y=20/7 is the point of intersection of lines

A triangular region is formed having vertices (0,0) (4,0) and (8/7,20/7) is the required solution.

Sarah is making a wall hanging in the shape shown below.
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the wall hanging shown in blue is the area of the square 8 by 8 minus the area of the cutout. Notice the cutout is a triangle? To find the total area, subtract the area of the triangle from the square.

The square has the sides 8 by 8 and its area is found as A = 8*8 = 64.

The triangle measures 4 inches by 4 inches. The area is found as A = 1/2*4*4 = 8.

Subtract the two areas.

64 - 8 = 56

The dance team traveled to a competition and traveled in two vans. The first van transported 2 adults and 5 students and cost $7
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer: $9

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost for adults be a

Let the cost for students be b.

The first van transported 2 adults and 5 students and cost $77. This will be:

2a + 5b = $77

The second van transported 2 adults and 7 students and cost $95. This will be:

2a + 7b = $95

2a + 5b = 77 ...... equation i

2a + 7b = 95 ........ equation ii

Subtract equation ii from I

-2b = -18

b = 18/2

b = $9

An student cost $9

Put the value of b into equation i

2a + 5b = 77

2a + 5(9) = 77

2a + 45 = 77

2a = 77 - 45

2a = 32

a = 32/2

a = 16

An adult costs $16

0.2y=0.5x+0.1 please solve with math thank you
Cerrena [4.2K]
<span>"Simplifying 0.2y = 0.5x + 0.1
 Reorder the terms: 0.2y = 0.1 + 0.5x Solving 0.2y = 0.1 + 0.5x Solving for variable 'y'.
 Move all terms containing y to the left, all other terms to the right.
Divide each side by '0.2'. y = 0.5 + 2.5x Simplifying y = 0.5 + 2.5x"</span>
