Answer:

[See Below]

Step-by-step explanation:

✦ Solve:

  ✧ -2.6 + 5.8 = 3.2

✦ Sometimes in math simplify could mean just solve and get the smallest version of that number. That's what it means in this case. So the simplified version would be 3.2.

Solve for x 5(x+4)=2x+20+2x
spayn [35]
Hey!
so first distribute the 5 to x + 4
5x+20 = 2x + 20 + 2x
combine 2x and 2x
5x+20 = 4x + 20
Now you want the constant and variable on different sides so subtract 4x to the other side
5x - 4x + 20 = 20
1x + 20 = 20
now subtract the 20 on the 1x + 20 side to the other side
1x = 0
divide by 1
0 divided by anything is 0
So x = 0
Hope this helps!

Can someone please help me with this, I'm having trouble
dexar [7]
This is another one for my "impossible math question" file. All of the answer choices are wrong. (None applies.)

According to the problem statement, the length you have marked "x" in the diagram is 15 inches. If the side length of one of the pavers is "s", then the Pythagorean theorem tells us
  s² + (2s)² = 15²
  5s² = 225
  s² = 225/5 = 45 . . . . . . the area of one square is 45 in² (not 225 in²)

Then
  s = √45 = 3√5 . . . . . . . the length of one side is not 5√3
so the perimeter is
  p = 4s = 4·3√5 in = 12√5 in ≈ 26.83 in . . . . not 75 inches.

The area of the 6-block L-shaped path is
  total area = 6s² = 6·45 in² = 270 in² . . . . not 450 in²

And the total perimeter is 14 sides, so is
  total perimeter = 14s = 14·3√5 in = 42√5 in . . . . not 60√3 in

_____
In cases like this where the answer key is incorrect, you might try asking your teacher show the class how to work the problem.

Otrada [13]
When 2 lines are parallel to each other mean than they have same gradient
y=5x +2
Gradient=5

Let the parallel equation be y=5x +c
Since this equation pass through (4,7), means that the point satisfy the parallel equation
7=5(4)+c
C=7-20=-13
So the parallel equation required is y=5x-13

Hope this can help.

A rectangle has an area of 600.6m2. One of the sides is 7.8m in length. Work out the perimeter of the rectangle.
choli [55]

Answer:

P = 169.6 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangle is a four sided shape with 4 perpendicular angles. It has two pairs of parallel sides which are equal in distance: width and length. Its area, the amount of space inside it, can be found using the formula A = l*w. If the area is 600.6 m² and the length is 7.8m, you can solve for the width by dividing the area by the length. Division is the inverse operation of multiplication and it will isolate the width.

600.6 / 7.8 = 77 inches.

On contrast, the perimeter is the distance around the shape. It si found by adding all sides together in the formula P = 2l + 2w. Substitute l = 7.8 and w =77.

P = 2(7.8) + 2(77)

P = 15.6 + 154

P = 169.6 meters
