Scientists plan to release a space probe that will enter the atmosphere of a gaseous planet. The temperature of the gaseous plan

et varies linearly with the height of the atmosphere. The delicate instruments on board completely fail at a height of 61.5 kilometers. What is the approximate temperature at this altitude?

You've told us only that the temperature varies linearly with altitude.
That's very nice information, but you haven't given us the slope of
the linear variation, or any initial point. There's no way to answer
the question without those numbers.

It's really too bad about the delicate instruments failing and all that.
But it sounds like they were working OK at some time before they
failed, so you must have received at least one good temperature
reading.  Tell us what that one was, and maybe we can work toward
an answer.

Two forces act on a 6.00-kg object. One of the forces is 10.0 N. If the object accelerates at 2.00 m/s2
liubo4ka [24]

Given :

Two forces act on a 6.00-kg object. One of the forces is 10.0 N.

Acceleration of object 2 m/s².

To Find :

The greatest possible magnitude of the other force.\

Solution :

Let, other force is f.

So, net force, F = 10 + f.

Now, acceleration is given by :

a=\dfrac{F}{mass}\\\\a= \dfrac{10+f}{6}\\\\\dfrac{10+f}{6}=2\\\\f = 12 - 10\\\\f = 2 \ N

Therefore, the greatest possible magnitude of the other force is 2 N.

Hence, this is the required solution.

Is it true or false that the displacement always equals the product of the average velocity and the time interval?
Cloud [144]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

  • Applying the definition of average velocity, we know that we can always write the following expression:

        v_{avg} = \frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t} (1)

  • By definition, Δx is just the displacement, and Δt is the time interval.
  • So, just rearranging terms in (1), we get:

        \Delta x} = v_{avg}* {\Delta t}

Describe how to prepare a 10.0% w/v solution of salt in water in a 100 mL volumetric flask
Sphinxa [80]
To prepare a 10.0% w/v solution of salt in water in a 100 mL volumetric flask, first you must weigh 10 g of salt because the 10 % 100 is 10 and the given should be 10 % w/v. place the 10 g salt to the volumetric flask then add water up until to mark of the volumetric flask then shake it.

Which statement best describes the motion of air particles in a sound wave?
bagirrra123 [75]

Answer:This Answer is B

Explanation:

Longitudinal waves have the same direction of vibration as their direction of travel. This means that the movement of the medium is in the same direction as the motion of the wave. Some longitudinal waves are also called compressional waves or compression waves.

A wave travels at a frequency of 387 Hz. What is<br>the period of the wave?<br>
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

¹/₃₈₇ second

Explanation:

<em>The period of a wave is the reciprocal of its frequency.</em>

So, simply, the frequency is ¹/₃₈₇ second(s), as that is the reciprocal of the frequency, 387 Hz.
