Whenever you need to find the percentage OF a number (often money), you just convert that percentage to a decimal (just move the decimal to the left twice so 40% becomes 0.40, 10.5% becomes 0.105, 2% becomes 0.02, etc) and MULTIPLY that decimal by the amount/number you need to find the percentage of.

For example, find the 20% commission of a $10,000 car sale
Calculation:
0.20x$10000 = $2000
Answer:
the commission would be $2000

That’s how you do it. I hope that helps. You should be able to solve it on your own now.

100% = 1.0
2.5% = 0.025

So now we know the decimal that corresponds to 2.5%, so all we have to do is multiply the price of the boat by this value in order to find the commission earned:

18 500 x 0.025 = $462.50

What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (0, 3) and (5, -3)?
shepuryov [24]

Answer <u>(assuming it can be in slope-intercept form)</u>:

y = -\frac{6}{5} x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

1) First, use the slope formula m =\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} to find the slope of the line. Substitute the x and y values of the given points into the formula and solve:

m =\frac{(-3)-(3)}{(5)-(0)} \\m = \frac{-3-3}{5-0}\\m = \frac{-6}{5}

So, the slope is -\frac{6}{5}.

2) Now, use the slope-intercept formula y = mx + b to write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form. All you need to do is substitute real values for the m and b in the formula.

Since m represents the slope, substitute -\frac{6}{5} for it. Since b represents the y-intercept, substitute 3 for it. (Remember, the y-intercept is the point at which the line hits the y-axis. All points on the y-axis have an x-value of 0. Notice how the given point (0,3) has an x-value, too, so it must be the line's y-intercept.) This gives the following equation and answer:

y = -\frac{6}{5} x+3

Help me please ......
Kruka [31]
Since the block is a cube, the dimentions from corner to corner equal all the same, as long as the pieces are equal, which in this case, they are. :) So basically what you need to do is find the perimeter of one side of the cube, and that's the answer.
