<em>Even when children are playing with toys, Gadgets or watching Television they are often distracted most times and their attention is becomes divided and they cannot interdict or capture irrelevant task thought processes.</em>
Cognition is the ability of an individual to acquire knowledge and make practical use of it by engaging one's mental processes. Piaget described four stages in childhood development. They include; the sensorimotor stage, the preoperational stage, the concrete operational stage, and the formal operational stage.
The third stage is the Concrete Operational stage wherein a significant improvement is seen in the cognitive abilities of the child. He is more organized and logical in reasoning. However, the child can only reason on tangible objects because his reasoning on abstract matters is still limited.
At this stage, he can ignore irrelevant information, regulate and sustain attention and follow through on tasks.
It is still unknown what exactly causes multiple sclerosis but there are theories that claim it is due to large physical strain put on the body. That's why there are numerous women who get it after child birth.
