The New England settlements comprised of New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. They were situated in the northern locale. Along the coastline, the land was level. Proceeding with inland in these settlements, slopes, and mountains were experienced. The ground was rough, which made cultivating troublesome.

The settlers in this locale needed to depend on different methods for accommodating their families on account of the raw land. Numerous New Englanders moved toward becoming anglers, skilled pontoon workers, lumberjacks, and trappers.

As a result of this, we can see that the state and federal government have different powers and functions which they have to undertake which is known as concurrent powers.

With this in mind, we can see that these powers are shared between both the state and federal government so that each can make their own laws which apply to their states and the federal government can also make laws which include building roads, establishing courts, borrowing money, etc
