From the given: 2nd quarter = 4 million
Let x  and y be the amount made in the first and third quarter such that,
                     1st quarter:    4 = (x + x/3)    ; x = 3 million
                      3rd quarter:   4 = (4/5)y       ;  y = 5 million

Adding together the amounts for the first three quarter is become 12 million.

Is the polynomial t^4-7 in standard form?
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

The polynomial t^4-7 is in  standard form.

Step-by-step explanation:

Writing the polynomial in standard form means we have to write the terms of the polynomial by descending degree.

  • First writing the term with the highest or largest exponent or degree first
  • Then writing the terms which have lower degrees/exponents in descending order.
  • If there is any constant term in the polynomial, it is always written in the end.

so

Given the polynomial

t^4-7

Here:

  • The highest exponent is the 4, so that entire term i.e. t^4 is written first. Here it is also written first.
  • Then the next term is the constant term, and constant terms is written in the end. Here, the constant terms is also written in the end.

Therefore, the polynomial t^4-7 is in  standard form.
