The answer is 4.5 hours.

120 miles/2 hours = 60 mph
270-120 = 150 miles
150 miles/60 mph = 2.5 hrs

2 hrs+2.5 hrs = 4.5 hours for the whole trip

Step-by-step explanation:

Please consider the complete question.

You have to answer 2 essay questions for an exam. There are 6 essays to choose from. How many different groups of 2 essays could you possibly choose?

We will use combinations formula to solve our given problem.

The number of combination of n terms r terms chosen at a time is given by formula:

C(n,r)=\frac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}

C(6,2)=\frac{6!}{2!(6-2)!}

C(6,2)=\frac{6*5*4!}{2*1*4!}

C(6,2)=\frac{6*5}{2}

C(6,2)=3*5

C(6,2)=15

Therefore, there are 15 different groups of essays could you possibly choose.
