Answer:

210.25 or 210.3495409 depending on how your teacher does it

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking for circumference of the circle when it asks for perimeter

Formula for Circumference C = π x r 3 (cubed)

The diameter is 10 so you take half of ten or 10 ÷ 2 = 5

5 x 5 x 5 = 125 (r squared equation)

125 x π = 392.6990817

Some classes ans stuff use 3.14 for pi so i'll show it that way too

125 x 3.14 = 392.5

(equation with π)

392.6990817 ÷ 2 = 196.3495409

196.3495409 + 14 = 210.3495409

(equation with 3.14)

392.5 ÷ 2 = 196.25

14 + 196.25 = 210.25

A family plans to have the hardwood floors in their square dining room re-finished, and new baseboards installed. The cost of re
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

Dimension of room = 18 foot x 18 foot

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the square room is of side a foot,

The cost of re-finishing the hardwood floors is $2.25 per square foot and the cost of purchasing and installing the new baseboards $14.5 per linear foot

Total cost is $1773.

Cost for re-finishing the hardwood floors = Area x 2.25

Area = a²

Cost for re-finishing the hardwood floors = 2.25 a²

Cost of purchasing and installing the new baseboards = Perimeter x 14.5

Perimeter = 4a

Cost of purchasing and installing the new baseboards = 4a x 14.5 = 58 a

Total cost = Cost for re-finishing the hardwood floors + Cost of purchasing and installing the new baseboards

1773 = 2.25 a² + 58a

2.25 a² + 58a - 1773 = 0

a = 18 or a = -43.77(not possible)

Dimension of room = 18 foot x 18 foot

mote1985 [20]

Answer:

36 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Daniela facing a 12 ft tall statue that is 15 ft away. She can see the reflection of the top of the statue in a puddle on the ground 5 ft in front of her. How tall is Daniela?

Hence, this is calculated as:

5ft/15ft = 12 ft/Daniela's height

Cross Multiply

5ft × Daniela's height = 15ft × 12ft

Daniela's height = 15ft × 12 ft/5ft

= 36ft

Therefore, Daniela's height = 36 ft
