Answer:

\frac{7\sqrt{6}}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

To rationalize the denominator, all you have to do is multiply the top and bottom by √6:

\frac{21}{\sqrt{6}}\cdot\frac{\sqrt{6}}{\sqrt{6}} = \frac{21\sqrt{6}}{6}

You can further simplify by dividing the top and bottom by 3:

\frac{7\sqrt{6}}{2}

I hope this helped.

Solar panels installed in a backyard have a cross section that is a right triangle. The diagram shows the approximate dimensions
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

About 4.2 ft

Explanation:

The area of the traingle can be calculated in two ways.

A=\frac{1}{2}\text{width}\cdot\text{length}

where width = 4.4 ft and length = 13.6 ft.

Putting in the values for width and length gives

\begin{gathered} A=\frac{1}{2}13.6\cdot4.4_{} \\ \boxed{A=29.92ft^2} \end{gathered}

The other way that the area can be calculated is

A=\frac{1}{2}\cdot\text{height}\cdot\text{base}

where height = vertical length and base = 14.3 ft; therefore.

\begin{gathered} A=\frac{1}{2}14.3h \\ A=7.15h \end{gathered}

This must equal the area of the triangle we found above; therefore,

A=29.92=7.15h29.92=7.15h

dividing both sides by 7.15 gives

h=\frac{29.92}{7.15}\boxed{h\approx4.2ft}

which is our answer!

Please help me with number 9! (Math)
Andrej [43]
Hi

I belive you add the top side (4) plus the bottom side (9.5) witch would equal 13.5 times the hieght (3) equals 40.5 divided by 2 equals 20.25. the area is 20.25ft squared

another way to do it
4+9.5= 13.5
13.5×3= 40.5
40.5÷2= 20.25ft
