Angiosperms, dicots

Explanation:

Angiosperms are highly differentiated vascular plants which can produce flowers and bear fruits with seeds in them. These flowering plants undergo reproduction and produces new plants. The reproductive parts like ovules and ovaries, stigma, stamen, pollen are all present in the flowers.

Angiosperms can either be a monocot or dicot. If they contain two embryonic leaves or cotyledons they are referred as dicots. Flowering angiosperms like geranium, magnolias are all dicots.

Geranium is a dicot angiosperms that produces small purple flowers.

Gymnosperms or bryophytes do not bear flowers or fruits. Monocots have only embryonic leaf.

Temperature-sensitive mutations are useful in understanding essential life processes. A temperature-sensitive mutant will be nor
mixer [17]

Answer:

decreased NADPH production.

decreased sugar production.

Explanation:

The water-splitting complex is associated with PSII and serves as a donor of electrons to the reaction center of PSII. PSII loses its electrons upon trapping of sunlight. These electrons are passed finally to NADP reductase via electron transport chain and PSI. NADP reductase reduces NADP into NADPH. The NADPH formed during the light-dependent phase serves as reducing power in reactions of the Calvin cycle.

A mutation in the water-splitting complex would result in no electron supply to PSII and thereby, reduced production of NADPH. The reduced NADPH production would limit the supply of reducing power for the Calvin cycle and the sugar production would be decreased.

Why there is a need to adjust the pH of the mixture to 4-.5-5.5 first before proceeding to the next step of putting the yeasts?
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

Amino acids may be acidic amino acids, or basic amino acids, due to the R group on the amino acids. If the pH is increased, this affects the shape of proteins, by disrupting the bonds in the protein. In the case of fermentation, you say the rate increases when it get's more acidic - when the pH is lower.

Weathering rate depends on temperature
faust18 [17]

Answer:

Rainfall and temperature can affect the rate in which rocks weather. High temperatures and greater rainfall increase the rate of chemical weathering. ... Rocks in tropical regions exposed to abundant rainfall and hot temperatures weather much faster than similar rocks residing in cold, dry regions.
