Pedialyte is an electrolyte solution which is taken orally. Originally it was given to children, but recently it has become popular as the cure for hangover. This has led to it's increased use in the adults. However, it should be noted that this solution is rich in potassium and sodium content. This poses a threat to the patients suffering from high blood pressure and kidney disorders. Such individuals should avoid excessive intake of pedialyte.
