To prove

By using the formula

$Angle\ formed\ outside = \frac{1}{2} (Difference\ of\ intercepted\ arcs)$

i.e

$\angle HOJ =\frac{1}{2}(98^{\circ} - measure\ of\ arc\ HJ. )$

As ∠HOJ = 27°

Put in the above equation

$27^{\circ}=\frac{1}{2}(98^{\circ} - measure\ of\ arc\ HJ. )$

27° × 2 =  98° - measure of arc HJ

54° = 98° - measure of arc HJ.

measure of arc HJ = 98° - 54°

measure of arc HJ = 44°
