Answer: Choice C

The non-pencil part of the compass is placed at point G. The compass must be kept the same width that was used to form the arc shown. The idea is to draw another arc so that it starts above G (so its on the opposite side of point A) and traces out a similar path as the arc in the diagram. 

Check out the attached image to see what I mean. The new second arc is shown in red.

Divide sin(x) from both sides

now you just have to figure out where tan(x)=1. you can figure this out from there by looking at the unit circle.
