Hello!

The answer to your problem is: x=1/13

<u>Simplify both sides of the equation</u>

(2)(-4x)+(2)(1)=(2/3)(x)+(2/3)(2) (Distribute)

-8x+2=2/3x+4/3

<u>Subtract 2/3x from both sides</u>

-8x+2-2/3x=2/3+4/3-2/3x

-26x+2=4/3

<u>Subtract 2 from both sides</u>

-26/3x+2-2=4/3-2

-26/3=-2/3

<u>Multiply both sides by 3/(-26)</u>

(3/26)*(-26/3x)=(3/-26)*(-2/3)

<u>Get your answer</u>

x=1/13

Hope This Helps!

a 28 ft. ladder leaning against a vertical wall makes an angel of 80 degrees with the ground. How far from the base of the wall
worty [1.4K]

Answer:

The ladder is 4.86 foot from the base of the wall .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The length of the ladder = 28 ft

The ladder makes angle of 80° with the ground

Let The distance of the ladder from the foot of the wall = x ft

Now, From Triangle BAC

Cos angle = \dfrac{\textrm Base}{\textrm Hypotenuse}

I.e Cos 80° = \dfrac{\textrm BA}{\textrm AC}

Or, 0.1736 =  \dfrac{\textrm x}{\textrm 28}

Or, x = 0.1736 × 28

∴  x = 4.86 foot

So, The distance of ladder from wall base = x =  4.86 foot

Hence The ladder is 4.86 foot from the base of the wall . Answer

Write (1/3i)-(-6+2/3i) as a complex number in standard form
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

6+\frac{i}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{1}{3\imath}-(-6+\frac{2}{3\imath})

\frac{1}{3\imath}+6-\frac{2}{3\imath}

taking like terms together

\frac{1}{3\imath}-\frac{2}{3\imath}+6

taking LCM

\frac{1-2}{3\imath}+6

\frac{-1}{3\imath}+6

taking LCM

\frac{-1+18\imath}{3\imath}

splitting the term

\frac{-1+18\imath}{3\imath}

splitting the term

-\frac{1}{3\imath}+\frac{18\imath}{3\imath}

-\frac{1\times3\imath}{3\imath \times \imath}+6

-\frac{i}{3\imath^2}+6

we know that

\imath^2=-1

putting this value in above equation

\frac{\imath}{3}+6

A point moves in the plane in the following sequence.
dem82 [27]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer is point D(-2,1).

1. If the point D was moved down 2 units, then its coordinates became (-2,-1).

2. If point (-2,-1) was reflected over the x-axis, then its coordinates became (-2,1).

3. If the point (-2,1) was moved 4 units to the right, then its coordinates became (2,1).

4. If point (2,1) was reflected over y-axis, its coordinates became (-2,1).
