Chewing your food makes it easier for your body's digestive system to digest the food more efficiently. Chewing, or mechanical digestion, assist in converting food into energy; your body releases enzymes to break down the food. It also increases the surface area of the food and the number of molecules released by the food itself.

It is important to chew your food for many reason, one because if we swallow large amounts of food it will take our bodies much longer to break it up. You can end up with diverticulitis which is food backed up into  pockets in the bowels. You will end up with many stomach issues including gastrointestinal for sure. <span />

What steps are state and local governments taking to reduce nicotine and tobacco use? Check all that apply.
Zielflug [23.3K]

The ones that apply for your question is the 1st, 3rd, and the 4th.  There is slight chance for the 5th one too. But I think that it is just 1st, 3rd, and the 4th.

The ones that apply:

Making it harder for young people to buy nicotine and tobacco products

increasing taxes on nicotine and tobacco products

prohibiting the use of nicotine and tobacco products in public places

Why not the 2nd and not 4th?

Government won't fine adults, they have the right to use tobacco. They are adults after all. Charging retail outlets a high fee is a bad idea. Lots of adults are addicted to tobacco products. Raising a high fee won't change anything, they will just waste all their money on Tobacco.

I would appreciate if you could mark me a Crown of Brainliest!!

How do you connect when correcting a child?
Crank

Answer:

One thing most parents can agree on is that parenting is challenging, whether you are a parent of a baby, toddler, or teenager. One day you may feel as if you've figured it all out and then the next you feel like the worst parent in the world. Many parents spend too much time searching for ways to change their child's behavior. This method of parenting often backfires and parents are perplexed when they are left with crying babies, toddlers having major meltdowns, and disrespectful teenagers.

Think about something your child does that makes you lose your cool. We are all triggered by different things. Is it when your toddler raises her voice in public? Or is it when 10-year-old refuses to clean his room? Think about why the behavior bothers you. Are you embarrassed in front of others?

Was this behavior unacceptable when you were a child?

Many of these behaviors are frustrating, but they are also developmentally appropriate. Think about what your child may be getting out of this behavior you consider “bad." A negative reaction from a parent is good enough for a kid who is trying to get any attention, but it will only keeping the behavior going. The less you stress about the behavior, the sooner it will come to an end. Sometimes the power struggle is the reason the behavior continues.

Explanation:

What if we stopped trying to change our kids and, instead, changed how we thought about parenting? What if we chose to view parenting through rose-colored glasses? What if we decided not to take everything so seriously?
