Answer:

thermal and radiant

Explanation:

- thermal energy refers to the energy transmitted through heat

- radiant energy refers to the energy transmitted through electromagnetic radiation, such as light

When the person lights the match, the match produces both heat (thermal energy) and light (radiant energy), so the correct answer is

thermal and radiant

<span>When a person strikes and lights a match, potential (chemical) energy
in the match is transformed into radiant energy in the form of heat (thermal)
and light.

Strange as it may seem, I have also had the experience ... while listening
to a sensitive high-frequency communications receiver and striking a match ...
of hearing a faint scratch of static in the receiver, suggesting that there is also
a trace of radiant energy at radio frequencies in the ignition of the match.
I describe this only as an unconfirmed curiosity, and you should not state it
as a part of the answer.

A plane is travelling at 250km/h and must reach a target that is 3h 58min away. The distance to the target is. *
wariber [46]

Answer:

B) 89500 km

Explanation:

speed = distance / time

time= 3h 58 min = 30+58/60= 30.966 h = 31 hrs (approxx)

250= distance / 31

250× 31= distance

distance = 7750 ( approxx)

but none of the given options is 7750 km so we will choose the answer nearest to it,

therefore 89500km is the right answer

The difference in heights of the liquid in the two sides of the manometer is 43.4 cm when the atmospheric pressure is 755 mm hg.
Schach [20]

The atmospheric P is greater than the P in the flask, since the Hg level is lacking down lower on the side open to the atmosphere.

43.4 cm x (10 mm / 1 cm) = 435 mm

the density of Hg is 13.6 / 0.791 = 17.2 times better than the liquid in the manometer. This means that 1 mmHg = 17.2 mm of manometer liquid.

435 mm manometer liquid x (1 mm Hg / 17.2 mm manometer liquid) = 25.3 mm Hg

The pressure in the flask is 755 - 25.3 = 729.7 mmHg.

729.7 mmHg x (1 atm / 760 mmHg ) = 0.960 atm.
