Mario had a party on Saturday. For every 3 cups of popcorn, there were 2 cups of lemonade. There were 90 cups of lemonade on Sat

urday. He also had a party on Sunday. He invited many people. The ratio of popcorn to lemonade for the Sunday party was 1:4. If there was the same amount of food at each party, how much lemonade was at the party on Sunday?

Answer:

120 cups of lemonade

Step-by-step explanation:

3:2 * x = 90:l

3:2 * 30 = 90:60

90+60 = 150

150 / 5 = 30

1:4 * 30 = 30:120

In need of geometry help, once again my stupid brain cant remember anything.
melomori [17]

You cannot rely on the drawing alone to prove or disprove congruences. Instead, pull out the info about the sides and angles being congruent so we can make our decision.

The diagram shows that:

  • Side AB = Side XY (sides with one tick mark)
  • Side BC = Side YZ (sides with double tickmarks)
  • Angle C = Angle Z (similar angle markers)

We have two pairs of congruent sides, and we also have a pair of congruent angles. We can't use SAS because the angles are not between the congruent sides. Instead we have SSA which is not a valid congruence theorem (recall that ambiguity is possible for SSA). The triangles may be congruent, or they may not be, we would need more information.

---------------

So to answer the question if they are congruent, I would say "not enough info". If you must go with a yes/no answer, then I would say "no, they are not congruent" simply because we cannot say they are congruent. Again we would need more information.

What is the height of an object thrown when time is 6 seconds? Also explain how u got your answer
nevsk [136]

Answer:

946.4\ m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

h(t) ---> the height of an object in meters

t ----> the time in seconds

we have

h(t)=-2.6t^2+40t+800

For t=6 sec

substitute in the quadratic equation  the value of t and solve for h

h(6)=-2.6(6)^2+40(6)+800

h(6)=946.4\ m

-3x + 1 + 10x = x + 4

-3x +10x -x = 4 -1

6x = 3

x = 3/6
