Alfred Wegner was the first person to propose the idea that all seven continents were all one supercontinent called "Pangea". Everyone considered his theory to be a joke until he found evidence to back up his theory. His evidence was the matching mountain ranges, fossils, certain species, and more over different continents. Also that all the seven continents fit together like puzzle pieces. I hope this helps! :)

pashok25 [27]

Answer:

Explanation:

Electrons are transferred from atoms of sodium to atoms of phosophorus. This transfer makes the sodium atoms positive and the phosphorus atoms negative. As a result, the sodium and phosphorus atoms strongly attract each other.

When NH3(g) reacts with N2O(g) to form N2(g) and H2O(g), 105 kcal of energy are evolved for each mole of NH3(g) that reacts. Wri
Ganezh [65]

Answer : The balanced chemical equation is,

2NH_3(g)+3N_2O(g)\rightarrow 4N_2(g)+3H_2O(g)+210kcal

Explanation :

Balanced chemical equation : It is defined as the number of atoms of individual elements present on the reactant side must be equal to the number of atoms of individual elements present on product side.

The given unbalanced chemical reaction is,

NH_3(g)+N_2O(g)\rightarrow N_2(g)+H_2O(g)+105kcal

This chemical reaction is an unbalanced reaction because in this reaction, the number of atoms of individual elements are not balanced.

In order to balanced the chemical reaction, the coefficient 2 is put before the NH_3, the coefficient 3 is put before the N_2O\text{ and }H_2O and the coefficient 4 is put before the N_2.

The energy evolved in this reaction = 105Kcal\times 2=210Kcal

Thus, the balanced chemical reaction will be,

2NH_3(g)+3N_2O(g)\rightarrow 4N_2(g)+3H_2O(g)+210kcal

Determine the ph of a 0.18 m h2co3 solution. carbonic acid is a diprotic acid whose ka1 = 4.3 × 10-7 and ka2 = 5.6 × 10-11. dete
oee [108]
Answer is: ph value is 3.56.
Chemical reaction 1: H₂CO₃(aq) ⇄ HCO₃⁻(aq) + H⁺(aq); Ka₁ = 4,3·10⁻⁷.
Chemical reaction 2: HCO₃⁻(aq) ⇄ CO₃²⁻(aq) + H⁺(aq); Ka₂ = 5,6·10⁻¹¹.
c(H₂CO₃) = 0,18 M.
[HCO₃⁻] = [H⁺] = x.
[H₂CO₃] = 0,18 M - x.
Ka₁ = [HCO₃⁻] · [H⁺] / [H₂CO₃].
4,3·10⁻⁷ = x² / (0,18 M -x).
Solve quadratic equation: x = [H⁺] =0,000293 M.
pH = -log[H⁺] = -log(0,000293 M).
pH = 3,56; second Ka do not contributes pH value a lot.
