First number = x
Consecutive number = x+1
"squares differ by 31" means to square both numbers and subtract them:
(x+1)^2 - (x)^2 = 31
x^2+2x+1 - x^2 = 31
2x+1 = 31
2x = 30
x = 15 (first number)
x+1 = 15+1 = 16 (consecutive number)

An art club is going to a museum. Six adults are going. 18 more kids than adults are going. Adults tickets cost $24 each, which
dybincka [34]

so their are 6 adults and 24 kids because when you add 18+6 and get 24

then you multiply 6(24) because adult tickets are 24 and get 144

then you multiply 24(12) because student tickets are half as much as parents so they are 12 and you multiply by 24 kids and get 288

then you add 288 student tickets total price +144 adult ticket total price =432 total cost fro all tickets

OLga [1]
A. Hydrogen and oxygen are classified as elements.

Explanation: they are from the periodic table (which is a table of elements) and it wouldn’t make sense for them to be minerals, energy or organisms. They aren’t living things.

Janet can make 3/4 of a necklace in 10 minutes. At this rate, how many necklaces, to the nearest tenth of a necklace,can janet m
VladimirAG [237]

Answer: 2.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Janet can make 3/4 of a necklace in 10 minutes.

We need to find how many necklaces she can make in 1 hour.

1 hour = 60 minutes

We can rewrite it as:

1 hour = 3*(20 minutes)

So Janet can create three 3/4 necklaces in 1 hour

Therefore, the total necklaces Janet can make in 1 hour = 3*(3/4) = 9/4 = 2.25

To the nearest tenth of a necklace = 2.3 necklaces

The slope of the line below is -5/7 Write the point-slope equation of the line using the coordinates of the labeled point.
Vesna [10]

Answer:

The answer is C) y - 2 = -5/7(x - 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have the slope (-5/7) and a point (6, 2), we can just input those in for m and (x1, y1) in point-slope form.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 2 = -5/7(x - 6)
